Police in Windsor, Ont., are waiting for a man to poop out the $20,000 diamond he stole.
A clerk at Precision Jewellers says she saw the man try to switch a diamond she had handed him. When staff examined the diamond, it turned out to be fake, and the thief decided the best course of action was swallowing the real diamond.
Now police have him in a toilet-less jail cell, waiting for his bowel movement.
The last time someone swallowed evidence, it didn’t turn out to well — but at least that wasn’t a sharp diamond.
Also, swallowing evidence? That has to be pretty low on the desperation scale, right below throwing your gun at a bad guy.
