ConservativesOnly.com, an American dating site that brings together people on the right of the political spectrum, has just expanded into Canada, Australia and the U.K.
Why now?
Because the site’s founder Craig Knight “realized that conservatism was not just limited to the United States,” according to the company’s press release. “With a large Conservative population outside the U.S. it was clear the next step was to expand his dating website to include Canada, United Kingdom and Australia.”
So let me get this straight. Conservatism is so important to Knight that he built a website with the sole purpose of letting people with the same political alignment find each other — but he didn’t know there were conservatives outside of America?
He’s taking a real chance here with the expansion into other countries since he probably doesn’t know if we have the internet in Canada. Or if we have relationships.
Knight says he started Conservatives Only after he “couldn’t find conservative prospects on the mainstream dating sites” and probably after the umpteenth date he derailed by insisting his date denounce deficit spending before they could order dessert.
Interestingly, same-sex pairings are possible on the site. What is not possible, however, is dating “liberals, progressives, socialists, marxists, communists, feminazis and democrats.”
