A south Winnipeg car-wash owner stumbled upon the carcass of the black bear Sunday morning as he was taking out the trash.
The latest casualty in humanity’s prolonged campaign against the ursine kind, the body of this unfortunate Beast was unceremoniously stuffed into a dumpster behind the car wash.
According to the business owner, a Conservation Officer told him that the “bear appeared to be young, shot during the spring hunting season and the pelt, head and feet were intact, leading to speculation the bear may have been hunted for its gall bladder.”
While it is a well-known fact that Manitobans, as a rule, lack a certain level of class, this latest act is just plain dirty. Sure, we’re in a War here, but have a little respect. If you’re going to slaughter an innocent bear, at least bring the hide and head to a reputable taxidermist, you filthy poaching bastards.
