Odd Future member and one of rap’s most skilled up-and-comers Earl Sweatshirt has been sitting on a (very) eagerly awaited second album, but it seems that wait will be coming to an end soon. If the tweets are to be believed, Doris will be released some time in “late July.”
That’s, like, two months max! That’s barely enough time to be excited before it comes out and we can all celebrate! And then the critics will sniff about how it didn’t live up to expectations, and life will continue. Until that happens, though, we can listen to “Chum” and “Whoa” while we wait with baited breath.
Update: The album’s official release date is August 20, and Sweatshirt expects to return to the stage next week after illness forced him to cancel some dates in late June and early July.
