If Rob Ford had any grace, he would retire after the humiliation he suffered at the hands of Jimmy Kimmel on his ABC show Monday night. The American comedian was relentless, twisting the knife ever deeper while watching the Toronto mayor squirm on the couch.
This was a long overdue reckoning, and although one can’t help but feel a little badly for Ford, he should also not be the goddamn mayor of Toronto at this point, nor should he have the gall to be seeking re-election. This is what happens when you fly down to Los Angeles thinking you’re in on the joke, not realizing that you are the joke.
