This won’t surprise anyone, but apparently the adult entertainment industry is very excited about the potential of Google Glass.

Whereas most people see geeky face-computers with a whole host of ethical and practical issues surrounding their use, Porn Valley just sees a better way to make porn. The computerized glasses are currently only available to certain beta testers but are expected to hit the market in the next 12 months, retailing for $1,500.

“To really know their full potential, we’ll need to get a pair to play around with,” one studio spokesperson told industry site XBIZ, “but we’re already dreaming up ways to use the glasses to get shots (sex-related and otherwise) that just aren’t feasible using a traditional camera setup.”

Peter Acworth, CEO of Kink.com, has even more disturbing plans.

“You could film picking up someone at a bar and taking them home, for example,” he said. “It takes the whole genre of POV and reality productions one stage further.”

And then there’s that awkward scene where you tell your date you’ve been filming her all night and you get her to sign a release form.

Welcome to the future, y’all, where we make and watch porn with our glasses. The performances might be a little lacklustre since there’s nothing less sexy than a dude wearing Google Glass, but at least there will be some amazing shots (sex-related or otherwise) coming our way.
